Cmk420,
They got rid of the tower ladder, they are running a pierce quint now out of station 1 in replace of an engine. Engine 141 goes in service when 181 is OOS I believe or when they have extra manpower from my understanding. The Ferrara is Engine 142 out of Station 2, and they run a KME for Engine 143 out of Station 3 also. They had a reserve engine (Engine 140 I believe) unsure if it was a hoffman estates engine or not in the past, and i’m also not sure if they still have that engine since they have a KME running as their reserve.

Thanks Tyler– So, the tower is at Station 1, the Ferrera Rescue Engine is at Station 2; what that KME reserve engine running first out at Station 3 on that call?
Did they, for a time, have the old Hoffman Estates Engine 23 Pierce Mid-Mount as a reserve? I thought I recognized it in a picture, that I saw, on another website. It is/was labeled as “Engine 140.”

cmk420,
You are correct the KME Engine was the old Engine 142 ( in reserve status currently) before getting replaced by the ferrara that used to be Engine 141 prior to them getting the new Truck 181.

Both of the Ferrara and the KME rigs had 142 on them. I would have to agree that the KME is (probably) a reserve, but never got renumbered.

That KME pumper is still alive. If memory serves me right, that rig has a Caterpillar agricultural engine in it.
