It does look nice with that hue combo.
Many ambulances are moving away from white.

Dan: that is a lifting device for loading/unloading the main O2 cylinder.
This was actually a solid white colored Road Rescue demo that was repainted by FSI to match their Terrastar ambulance.

What is shown in the second to last photo? Some sort of lifting apparatus in the compartment behind the drivers door.

For those wondering why they didn’t go with the terrastar again. International has stopped making the truck for 2017. For 2018 there is a replacement truck that will be shared between International and General Motors. General Motors have decided they wanted to reenter the medium duty market and why not go with the company who used to work with your competition. The real reason is back in 2008/2009 General Motors tried selling their Medium duty line and the only real interest came from Navistar. But the deal feel thru. So the partnership makes sense. Seeing the newest Internationals, I have a feeling this new truck will look great. Would be nice to see a new durastar. I think it’s long over due.

Anyone know what will become of their fairly new International ? I noticed a former Oak Lawn ambulance with Chicago Ridge lettering on it outside Christ Hospital the other day. I can only assume the new Ford will go to the Headquarters Station, the International will remain at old Station-1, and the former OLFD ambo will become a reserve unit. I believe the 2 older Internationals and the old Ford/Horton ambulance all got repainted and are part of the Chicago Ridge EMA fleet.
