At approximately 1730 hours on Friday July 15th, 2016, the Berwyn Fire Department received numerous calls about a structure fire at 1236 Cuyler Ave. As the first units arrived on scene they reported they had a fully-involved structure fire. Quint 9Q1 was moved to the front of the building in order to utilize their master stream and extinguish the bulk of the fire on the delta side, and Truck Co. 904 was positioned just behind them in order to extinguish the fire on the alpha side of the building. North Riverside Engine Co. 808 was auto-aid to the fire, and was positioned on 13th Street. At around 1800 hours, Forest Park Engine Co. 402 was dispatched to the scene, backed down Cuyler Ave. and the members proceeded to bring their tools to the fire building. Thanks.

No, I believe the rig is 12 years old. So MAYBE in 3-5 years you will see a new 904. The truck is in good shape as of now.

Berwyn’s New 902 will be going into service in the coming weeks. Right now, members are completing driver training and pump training.
