This from Josh Boyajian:
I attended a wet down ceremony for Tri-State’s new Engine 521 on Monday. It will be running out of Station 2 as a jump company with the tower ladder. The new engine is in full service. They are planning on putting the new 511 in service sometime next week.

MABAS GUY:
I have a few questions for you. Were the 6 new hires to fill in vacancies in the full-time staffing? When Ambulance 514 gets reassigned front line as Ambulance 544 at the former Willow Springs station, is the district hiring additional full-time personnel to staff it or will it be staffed with additional contract medics? What kind of boat does Tri-State have at their Station 1? Since it isn’t the former Willow Springs boat. Thanks in advance for your response.

From previous posts, it sounds like they may have access to the former Willow Springs ambo and would have since taking over. So, while they are buying a new one, they could have had at least some service by hiring adequate staff.

Saw a very small sliver of one of the Willow Springs engines in the 3rd picture. Looks like they used that engine for the wetdown.
