What rig is Rolling Meadows replacing?
#2 by Joe on November 17, 2014 - 4:37 PM
I’m curious about Schaumburg as well. Currently all of their Pierce apparatus are the Impel or Velocity chassis. If they did make a change, I wonder why that would be. As far as if it’s an engine or truck, I’d guess truck. Truck 53 is currently the oldest front line apparatus in their fleet, so it would make the most sense for it to be replaced.
That said, friends of mine who are close to the situation say that Schaumburg hasn’t ordered anything, so take all this with a grain of salt.

Which engine is Mt. Prospect Replacing?

Looking at Palatine’s website, this is how it shakes out:
E81: E-One
E82, E84: Spartan
Q83, RQ83: Pierce
Reserve Engine: E-One
T85 & S85: Spartan
My guess is the new engine will replace E81, that that one will go reserve.

Like Palatine Huntley will also have a mixed fleet of Pierce, Ferrara, and Spartan ERV. Right now I believe they have two frontline engines and a reserve engine that are Pierce, the third frontline engine is the Ferrara.

Palatine changing manufacturers again. Their fleet is a mix and match of E-one, Pierce and Spartan currently.
