During periods of snow, all of our EMS responses have a suppression apparatus added to them. Our suppression rigs have snow shovels and salt buckets, and the engineer is tasked with snow removal and salting for the reasons Chief Smith mentioned below. Shoveling and salting is also done at fire scenes where needed.

I would hope that our officers would continue to call for our plow to clear a driveway and reduce the chance of injury to our members when moving the ambulance cot. We have done this for years when it is beneficial to US for the stated reason.

Harry, I’m sorry I hurt Roberts feelings by my comment. Thank you for sharing your pictures. Now next snow storm I can expect residents to stop by the firehouse or call us to come plow their driveways.
