Oh the days when Dolton would put 4 engines, 2 trucks and the squad on the road within 10 min of a fire. With manning a plenty

Dolton is getting rid of that, the squad and engine 1446, the pierce. They are getting a new pierce dash cf and are in the works of getting a grant for a second one with a longer body to act as main engine/squad out of station 2. And who would be interested? casue I know for sure they are selling it and def pretty cheap

Why is Dolton getting ride of it :O If the price is right, I know who would buy it.

Nice photos, too bad the actual photographers aren’t getting credit for their images.

Yeah that Elwood rig was supposed to look futuristic for 1980. GM had the RTS transit bus that had a so called aerodynamic look about it. It seems we go in circles in vehicle design. Look at a typical rig built in the last 15 years and most of them are more toward the square design.

If memory serves, the black roof on the Elwood rig was a vinyl top.
