Yeah, I thought some of those pics from the Pierce flicker didn’t look completely genuine. I’ve seen pics in non-winter months with snow in the background, etc.
Thanks for clearing it up, Karl.

This is indeed a new 2013 Impel/PUC engine. There are some minor differences between the two engines as shown on the new apparatus pic such as a black painted front brow light and AC unit, slightly different light bar, additional red LEDs on the cab sides and two led scene lights mounted to the body.

Kevin, this is a 2013 Pierce Puc for Wheaton, its the same specs as their previous order of their current Pierce Puc Engine.

It may very well be a new rig. Since Pierce went to the Flickr site for new deliveries, all the photos are not only photoshopped (shot on the blue floor and edited into the outdoor photo), they also reuse photos from previous/similar rigs purchased by any given department if they are similar.
Also, if you look at the flag back drop for all their posts as they are all the same. They add in the season elements according to the delivery times (snow, green trees, fall colors etc).

This isn’t a new rig if you look at the Date May 4, 2010. So this rig was made in and delivered in 2010
