Calumet City has been added to the site

The Calumet City Fire Department has been added to the site. They are part of MABAS Division 24. Calumet City has two stations with Pierce apparatus, and ambulances from Excellance and Medtec. They also maintain a 1914 American LaFrance antique. There area 48 career personnel protecting 7.1 square miles.

Gurnee FD updates

Tim Olk visited the Gurnee Fire Department and submitted images of the new Engine 1312 (not yet in service) and Ambulance 1344 (in service). Both units will be at Station 2. The arrival of these units meant some shifting of apparatus:

  • the previous Ambulance 1344, a 2000 IHC/2001 Road Rescue has been disposed of
  • the previous Engine 1312, a 1995 E-ONE fixed cab Cyclone 1500/750 has been disposed of
  • with the addition of the new command car 1396, the previous unit 1396, a 2000 Ford Expedition will be disposed of
  • Ambulance 1343 will relocate to Station 1 where it will be first out
  • Ambulance 1341 will be the second ambulance out of station 1 and 1342 will be unmanned
  • command car 1392 will become a staff car at station 1
