From Roberts Park Minutes:Fleet Status – Ambulance 308 has been sent to Osage for its refurbishment. Expected completion is three to four months out.
When Ambulance 308 is refurbished, a power cot will be added as this is the optimal time to do so. Ultimately, the other ambulances will need the same, but we will have to wait forfunding.
Roberts Park purchased this used 2009 Seagrave engine which previously served Mansfield, MA. It will replace Engine 303 (Ex Engine 31) a 1993 Pierce Dash that formerly served Justice FD as Engine 551 prior to the takeover.

The Roberts Park Fire Protection District is proud to announce the acceptance of a new tower ladder. The Crimson brand ladder is capable of reaching 93 feet into the air. This truck, manufactured in 2014, was formerly owned by the Alexandria, Virginia Fire Department. After some minor refurbishment it has a new home, right here in Justice. In our continued effort to exercise fiscal responsibility, we saved approximately half the cost of ordering a brand new truck. This vehicle comes to us fully inspected and certified and carries a warranty as well. We expect to place Tower 305 in service in mid-July, after all of our operators have been fully trained.

With under 25,000 miles, this used truck has been very well taken care of. This is a very new piece of apparatus, and rare on the used fire truck market today. With minimal time passed since it was produced, this vehicle will have many years remaining to serve at its next fire department!

Video from Larry Shapiro of the 4-Alarm fire in Justice, 12-30-18
The Roberts Park FPD was called to 8701 W. 85th Place Sunday night (12/30/18) for fire in a 3rd floor apartment. They eventually elevated the incident to a 4-Alarm fire which gutted the top floor and caused extensive damage to the first and second floors. The fire was in the end section of three buildings separated by firewalls, and though fire did apparently get into one unit of the adjoining building, the remainder of that building plus the end building were saved. Elevated master streams from Bedford Park, Pleasantview, and Evergreen Park trucks on two sides of the building operated for several hours in addition to multiple large lines from the ground and deck guns from Roberts Park and Bridgeview engines.
An incomplete list of units at the scene represented Roberts Park, Bridgeview, Lemont, North Palos, Lyons, Palos Heights, Crestwood, Orland, Pleasantview, Alsip, Evergreen Park, Bedford Park, Central Stickney, Chicago Ridge, Summit, Oak Lawn, and Chicago.
