This from Larry Shapiro:
Countryside FPD firefighters were called to 26805 N Circle Drive in unincorporated Mundelein just after 1AM (5-8-16) by residents reporting that their house was on fire. Responding units were advised that the fire was blocking the front door and the family was outside but unable to flee a rear deck that was 10 feet above ground level.
The first engine confirmed a fire with flames visible from down the block and the alarm was upgraded to a Full Still. The fire was knocked down within minutes and companies due on the upgrade were returned, which is when I arrived.
