The FDIC was located in two seperate buildings; The Indianapolis Convention Center and the Lucas Oil Stadium across the street. Most of the major apparatus vendors took space in the stadium including Pierce, EONE, Rosenbauer, KME, Sutphen, Ferrara, Seagrave, Marion, Hackney, Alexis, Fort Garry and HME. In the convention center were Spartan, Crimson, Smeal, SVI, Summit, US Tanker, Toyne, Semo, Danko, Rescue 1/PL Custom, and Custom Fire Apparatus plus Darley and Snozzle.
HME Ahrens Fox introduced a CNG powered engine on the 1871 SFO chassis with a complete vinyl graphic wrap.
There was also an interesting helicopter training prop for fire extinguishment.
Crimson introduced a new pumper design with a Darley pump which appears to compete with the Pierce PUC.
