Harry the ’01 is gone, but they do have the ’06 as a reserve. However I was talking about front line, not reserves. They will have Seagrave’s in reserve for a while, they have at least a Seagrave truck and engine in reserve currently.

Which station will the new Lake Zurich engine go to? The last Engine went to station 4. Station 2 has a 2012 Pierce. That would leave either 1 or 3.

IFSI isn’t a dept. That’s the Illinois Fire Service Institute. This is the first new rig I’ve ever seen them buy. Urbana is getting a new 100ft midmount tower from spartan smeal also.

After this Pierce, I think St. Charles will officially have an all Pierce front line fleet (minus specialty apparatus like the tender). A little sad they won’t have anymore Seagrave, but a newer fleet was needed. Also nice to see their next door neighbor Geneva will have another new Pierce. They too should be done or close to being done with their fleet renewal.
