Mike; it will be well attended and very easy to be a sad affair knowing an era of great significance is at an end. We will have the challenge coins available there too. What’s guy !!!!!!!

He will be missed. Times are changing and this may be the end of an era, a chaplain that was able and willing to dedicate so much time and energy to the fire department and it’s members for so many years. Monsignor Gorman, Fr. McDonald, and Fr. Mulcrone. That’s about 90 years or so of history. May he have a long and happy retirement.
If there is a 2-11 between now and the end of his tenure, they should let him “strike it out” as a parting gesture.
Kugie: Do you know if they are going to do anything special for his last Mass at Holy Family on June 18?

it’s always great to hear stories about someone who dedicates himself to serving the Lord and being there to provide such support for the CFD.
Very heartwarming.

YES !!!! Fr. Tom has, and always will be, a friend to the members of the CFD and the IAFF Unions. No other CFD Chaplain has been so special to our people in the fire service. Not only here in Chicago but around the country is he recognized as “our friend and adviser “. We will miss the ‘Chief’ Chaplain and wish him well and ; “Stay Safe Tom”.
