On Thursday, December 5th, 2013 at approximately 1645 hours, companies from the 21st Battalion had a Still Alarm at 90th and Bell. Companies on the scene were Engines 121 and 129, Trucks 40 and 50 (spare rig) with Battalion 21. Battalion 20 and Truck 59 were RIT. The squad and van were held up at some point. I arrived behind Truck 50.

Not much to see. Anyone know the story why 129 got the leadout instead of 121?

129/50 straight shot down ashland, out 87th, down western to 90th st plus no road traffic at rush hour because everyones on welfare. 121/40 has RI/metra at 89th if they went up ashland to 87th, or…RI/metra at longwood and/or commuter and mall traffic if they went up 95th to western instead of side streets. Pure speculation.

It amazes me that 129 beat out 121 to be the first engine. At the same time, this does not surprise me that much, considering it’s the 21st battalion.
