Michael m – You raise a good question about Hampshire because the engine that was totaled needs to be replaced but they’re also building a new fire station now. Curious as to what they will put at the new station.
Pretty unbelievable how much apparatus is on order in the area!
Is that Burlington Illinois Fire that has a Sutphen on order?

John, I was speaking in generalities. Yes a 2015 will be a spare along with the 2009 Spartan. As far as rig assignments, well it wasn’t uncommon for Orland to have the rigs numbered one thing at the plant for final inspection then change the assignment when it went in service. Although they have 2 ordered, expected delivery for 1 is 2025 and 2026 for the second.

From what I was told by the members of Station 4, Engines 5/6 are being replaced and if I remember correctly they said that one of the 2015s will be replacing Engine 3 and their spartan and 1 2015 will become spares.

Orland isn’t replacing E5 or E6, those are the 2015 Pierces. One will go to reserve along with Engine 3’s 2009 Spartan.

Norwood park will be ordering a Seagrave engine.
Tower 36 and squad 36 will be together at station 36, squad will only be in service when the tower is down for maintenance or if a special call comes in if the personnel are in quarters.
