They are likely getting rid of the eone engine

One thing that is often overlooked with a replacement rig is that it may not be replacing a frontline rig. When a spare/reserve rig hits 20 year old, has tons of hours and miles, it’s time to go! I’m betting this is the case for this replacement engine!

It is replacing a 2008 unit. Well within an acceptable timeframe, probably should be closer to 10 as busy as they are.

Harry, what do you mean? Is there a problem with Schaumburg replacing an engine? They run 11,000+ calls a year, they’re a busy department, and they put a lot of miles and wear on their rigs. Seems like a good thing that they’re replacing an engine and that they do so on a regular basis. A friend who works there tells me that a couple front line engines have 100,000+ miles on them and 12,000+ hours.
Michael, the same friend as above tells me this will either be engine 51 or engine 54. Either it goes to engine 51 and current 51 gets handed down to 54 which is using ex engine 52, or it’ll go directly to engine 54.

If I had to guess, this will be the new engine 53.
