Seems like an awful lot of blank space on that jump seat side wall – where’s all the usual cabinets?

So the GM DURAMAX is used in both versions? I know NAVISTAR is all but out of the engine business since they use CUMMINS engines in the medium truck and school bus chassis. I think there was supposed to be a gasoline engine option at some point too but perhaps they pushed that back.

GM worked with Navistar on this project because of wanting to reenter the market. When GM was trying to sell off their medium duty line, Navistar was interested but the deal didn’t go through. Shortly after the International Terrastar was born. Before this venture, the Terrastar was killed off. Most will say the engine issues were the case but in my opinion its because of this venture. Navistar could have put another engine in but chose not to. Navistar also builds express cutaway when need be for GM.

Harry it’s the same thing just a different grill. I admit though that it’s weird that GM is partnering with them. Oh well.

I like the Chevy version better

What I find most interesting is why that color or were these previous costumes orders

They seem to hold up fairly well; North Shore has two of them in service and St. Francis Fire received one earlier this year. It is interesting to point out that over the last decade or so, Milwaukee has used most of the available medium-duty ambulance chassis offered on the market: International, Freightliner, Ford and now the GM/rebranded Navistar

Interesting slightly different paint job. I wonder how those NAVISTAR/GM chassis will hold up since they are rather new.

Instead of running the patient module off the chassis and an inverter, it is run separately off the generator. Frazier is a Texas-based manufacturer and quite a few departments down there purchase their products. MFD has bought from a variety of manufacturers lately: Braun, Braun NorthStar, Horton (Med 16) and now these two units;

Generator?, what is the application I wonder.
