This engine is currently in service with the Timbo Fire Department. I believe this engine is one of their more recent acquistions. It is one of some 27 pieces of apparatus they operate out of six stations covering approximately 200 square miles of Ozark mountains and towns with a relatively small budget. During our visit they said the engine had responded to two fires the previous week. They expressed being very happy with the performance of old 45.

Michael M I now live outside of Chicago in an area where the fire department receive little or any funding from their local tax base if they receive any funding at all most of what they do is through donations and fundraising. So down here the priority would be having the money to fix something when it breaks rather than making it look pretty

You see all the fire districts up here and realize how lucky we are to have the excellent services which are provided to us and then see at the other end how small depts are struggling to make it work.My hat is off to them……

I would assume that this engine is still in service for their volunteer fire department. It goes to show that those 80s era E-One’s are a testament for being true workhorses that refuse to die.

Hope someone plans to restore the engine. It looks like it still has equipment on it.
