Agree Big Moe!
The Oak Brook truck has nothing heavy duty about it. I guess it’s a good truck for a low volume volly type department. Definitely not made to last.

I’ll take this one over Oak Brook’s tower any day!

Crabby – The X15 is actually a bigger block than the X12.

Ok thanks Mike. It must not be too much though if it’s based on the same block.
But as others said, the X12 has more than enough power and torque.

Crabby – The X15 is actually bigger and wouldn’t fit under the current Seagrave cabs.

I think the X12 and X15 are pretty much the same physical size so I doubt any major changes would need to be made to handle the X15. I too like that idea of the stainless.

For the little demand of the X15, I’d be surprised if Seagrave makes modifications to their cabs to accommodate this engine. The X12 already brings plenty of power for a truck like such although the X15 is pretty sweet!
These Apollo towers are awesome. 1,250 pound tip load dry, and 750 pound 2,000 GPM’s.

I’m a big Seagrave fan. Love that you can get a stainless cab and body. With the size and weight of these new tower ladders. (Midmount and rear mount) when is Seagrave gonna make room for the bigger motors? The X12 isn’t a bad motor but the X15 would be a much better choice for some of these rigs.
