Marty we missed that boat when the emissions started coming out and cat and Detroit said they would not make on road engines anymore. None of these advocacy groups said anything and let this disaster happen. Of course costs soared for purchasing, maintenance and fuel. The military and off road construction equipment manufacturers got it right and advocated against this and got exemptions. We were to just worrying about getting helmet holders in the cabs instead of an actual operational issue.

DEF is what killed the diesel. Emergency vehicles should have been exempted like the military was.

Once again, diesel can be a pain in the butt on top of the higher purchase price hence a move back toward gasoline.
That 7.3L V8 is brand new so hopefully there won’t be too many surprises. Hard to believe the grand old V10 is no longer.
