A high-speed crash Friday evening in Niles damaged six vehicles, but resulted in only minor injuries.

Police did not initially say how fast the black Volkswagen Jetta, driven by a 34-year-old Des Plaines man, was going westbound on Oakton Street as it approached Prospect Street. However, it was learned the Jetta somehow drove into the eastbound lanes just east of Prospect and struck a white GMC SUV driven by a 49-year-old Morton Grove woman.
