That does like nice for an unfinished rig. Yes, a SEAGRAVE would look great in CFD colors but the money clip has other ideas and nothing against E-ONE. Milwaukee is pretty firm with PIERCE so I doubt there will be any SEAGRAVE’s up here other than more suburban Milwaukee County depts. at some point perhaps.

Michael this engine will be engine 2. Idk if the current engine 2 will go to reserve or be for sale.

Which engine will this replace? Engines 1 and 5 got new Pierces within last two years. Perhaps engine 3?

It turns out that Seagrave has a new line of pumpers which are called the FASTrack Series which is of a modular design as opposed to their more conventional custom models. Therefore they are able to have rigs ready within 6 months and are also offering them at more competitive pricing.
So Seagrave is finally responding to the market for quicker delivery time and lower cost pumpers that still feature custom cabs and chassis as opposed to commercial chassis. They currently are offering four models of their FASTrack Series pumpers.
This explains why all of sudden there are more local fire departments purchasing Seagrave pumpers after going to cheaper brands over the last several years.
Below is the deal they are offering fire departments that buy FASTrack Series pumpers.
FASTrack Series Apparatus Program Terms & Conditions
This is from Seagrave’s website:
1. Advertised Price is FOB Clintonville, WI.
2. Delivery of the apparatus to the fire department, must be added to the advertised price of the vehicle, unless customer chooses to drive vehicle away (See Item 11)
3. FASTrack Series Pumpers will be delivered in six (6) months or less.
4. FASTrack Series Apparatus, require the use of a Seagrave Standard Sales Contract.
5. Pre-Engineered FASTrack Series Apparatus shall be ordered without a pre-construction conference.
6. Pre-Engineered FASTrack Series Apparatus shall be delivered without a final inspection at the Seagrave Factory in Clintonville, WI, any inspection shall take place at the customer or manufacturer representative facility.
7. The apparatus may be painted to match the customers’ existing apparatus, delivery will then be six (6) months from date of contract signing.
8. The Apparatus will be provided with reflective Scotchlite striping and rear chevron to meet current NFPA requirements.
9. The advertised price does not include department specific lettering and numbering.
10. Changes within the Pre-Engineered FASTrack Series Apparatus Program may be allowed with an increase to the advertised price and possible delay in delivery.
11. If the purchaser elects to drive the apparatus from the factory, Payment in Full, proof of insurance, and acceptance of apparatus must be made prior to departure.

Surprised about the flat roof cab. Been awhile since LFD ordered one of those. More comfortable for the guy in the back and easier to do checks not hunched over. Anxious to see body and hosebed.

Just like the Romeoville rig, the rims are mis-matched. 5 hole on the front and 2 hole on the back.

That cab certainly looks sharp and the rig isn’t even finished.
I can’t help but think that this is what a Chicago rig would look like if they were to buy Seagrave engines again. The paint scheme on the cab nearly looks identical to Chicago’s.
I know there are a few others here who would like to see Chicago get some new rigs from Seagrave but so much for wishful thinking.
Unlike American LaFrance and Ward LaFrance, Seagrave is not dead, just overpriced.
