From the Seagrave Facebook page:
Romeoville Fire Department of Romeoville, Illinois has placed in service this 2019 Seagrave Marauder stainless steel pumper.
“Again, I can’t thank you enough for everything you and Seagrave have done and hope this is the first in many new Seagraves to come to Romeoville.”

Romeoville’s last purchase prior to the Seagrave was a Smeal ladder. Nice rig. It’s on the Ferrara chassis branded as a Smeal. Before this, they purchased Pierce rigs. E23 was involved in an accident a couple years ago. Pierce did a horrible job repairing it. The new E21 replaces an older Pierce which seemed to hold up okay. The heavy rescue Pierce is on an Enforcer chassis. I’m not sure about the new Pierce Enforcer chassis but this particular rig is very cramped and the space is limited within the cab.

Once again, nice to see more SEAGRAVE’s. Were they another former PIERCE dept.? Not trying to blast PIERCE but there seems to be quite a few depts. buying SEAGRAVE after being put off by PIERCE and not willing to try SPARTAN or E-ONE.

Anyone know a price?

Romeoville should remove the license plate bracket. I believe the O/S front LED light head has green LED’s. They should put a green lens on.

Low hose bed, and enclosed ladders! NICE! I think this engine also has the big block. Bet it moves quite well! Quality is written all over this rig! Hope they replace E23 with a Seagrave too! That rig is a pile of….
