Jim, how do they have major problems in those? Less than 10 year old apparatus should not have those types of issues. Unless they never did maintenance, or they bought crap tankers. This department continues to defy logic.

Ok ok they have 2 identical tankers. Both of which have mechanical issues ranging from blowing a Engine to the tank shifting in the back. It’s all smoke and mirrors. At open houses they show guys on rigs but it’s just for the open house. To give the unknowing tax payers a false idea of staffing. What you should be asking is what qualifications are riding on the rigs. They have people who sent firefighters riding on rigs. This is what happens when you run a business for money and no one questions it.

Yes they had two tankers, the other one is at the station in Campton Hills. That answers the question which one was sold. It was the one from the St Charles station.

Why man a full time tanker??? It’s usually a jump person or company.

Do they have 2 tankers because one that looks very similar was seen enroute to a barn fire in Burlington earlier this week

My guess is there was nothing wrong with it, they don’t have the personnel to man it anymore. When I went to the open house before one of the votes they had two guys assigned to the tanker on a daily basis.

Its only a 2011. What could possibly be wrong? It looks fine to me.

Which tanker was this one at, the one in St Charles or Wasco?
Who would take over if the closed their doors? I am guessing South Elgin and West Chicago would take over Wayne and Unincorporated St Charles.
Who would take over Campton Hills?
