The City of Sheboygan announces appointment (pending pre-employment considerations) of Eric Montellano as its next fire chief. He currently serves as a deputy chief of the Zion Fire and Rescue Department, Zion, IL.
Mr. Montellano brings over 25 years of experience in successful fire and rescue service operations with progressive positions including firefighter/paramedic, lieutenant, and Bbttalion chief. He also has served as an Adjunct Instructor for Oakton Community College.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL and a Master of Science degree in Fire and Emergency Management from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK.
Mr. Montellano replaces Michael Romas who retired in March after serving five years in that role.
