They’re going to let 3 other stations use it/evaluate it for a week before it goes to 3. Any recommend changes will be reflected in the next order.

Yes, FORD will build the E SERIES at least thru the later part of the ’20’s from what I read. Not just for ambulances but class C motorhomes and hotel/airport shuttle buses.
What they’ll have to replace it who knows but perhaps a heavier TRANSIT since the current TRANSIT tops out at about 11000GVW.

Ford wont discontinue the E-series. Orland has bought so many of them over the years Ford is making a profit.

Doesn’t sound like Ford has any plans to discontinue the E-series cutaway. Just read recently that Ford made some changes to the E series for 2020-or 2021.
