This from Steve Redick:
Took the drone on a few flights. Another classic house I wanted to document was old Engine 61, also home to Squad 3 and Amb 36 as well as an EMS division in later years. Plus a view of the downtown skyline as seen from above the house.

What did they become when they closed down the house? Was it Truck 6 or Truck 12? I don’t remember what Engine 100 became either? I do remember that Engine 77 became a 2nd Haz-Mat company. Just wondering? John

The outcropping is original. This house and Trk 47’s former quarters at Ridge and Hollywood on the north side are twins. Beautiful firehouse! Nice pics, Steve!

it would be cool to use drone/see images of backdraft locations today and compare to back at time of movie especially the final shot where they zoom out and credits begin to roll

Believe the “extension” is original equipment of the building – I know it to have been there in the 1940’s

Was there any sign of the African American Firefighter Museum?

Excellent shots.
Looks like that building is in good shape. It also appears that extension on the right side was added later on or perhaps not?
Is it a private residence now?
