This from Chi-Town Fire Photos:
Here are some shots from Maywood’s Box this Friday morning at 1200 Orchard. Fire was in a small, 1-sty wood frame house. Also attached is a shot of Maywood’s new E-One demo ladder truck. It isn’t marked up yet but is in service.

Maywood’s old ladder was an Aerial Innovations. I do not recall how recent “AI” went out of business but it was several years ago. Parts are obsolete and as Kevin stated the frame was cracked. They were well overdue for a replacement. I would’ve liked to see Maywood keep the chassis uniform like the rest of their fleet with a Spartan and maybe use a Smeal, LTI, ladder but I do believe this E-One will serve them well.

Maywood’s old truck was at least 20 years old. They were having issues and the frame was cracked.

Maywood bought this Demo from fire service inc as an emergency purchase. I do not know what was wrong with the old Truck but I know it was placed OOS and was inoperable

Interesting that the new truck is in service without graphic and lettering! Congratulations!! Beautiful truck! Was this a demo? I don’t recall hearing them purchase a spec truck.

Great news for Maywood! I am very happy that the city was able to recognize and support the continued need for a truck company and follow through with purchasing one. That E-One will serve them very well especially with the better design than the previous truck.

When did Maywood get an E-One? That’s a nice ladder!
