The frame rail corrosion issue was a bad batch made in 2000/2001. From what I have experienced and other dept’s, these are all being covered by the warranty.

Ladder 31 is not O.O.S. at Pierce. RP is currently running it, I physically saw it last night on a run.

A Pierce at the factory for corrosion on the frame????? When is Pierce going to start making a quality product?

Engine 32 is still in service

BP will photoshop out the name of the department, they do it on all their photos.

Just looking at the posted picture, I don’t think that the engine is in service. The name is already off the door; I am of the opinion that it’s already been stripped down so it can be sold.
If Ladder 31 is OOS at Pierce, then Engine 31 is probably running in its place, and Engine 3R is probably running as E32 until the ladder truck is back, and the new engine arrives.

Even though it might be up for sale, they are probably still using the engine. They may have a date when the vehicle will be available pending the ETA of the new Seagrave. It sometimes takes a while to make the sale. In the interim, they would have the two former Justice engines available plus the brush truck and the ambulances.

Why getting rid of their youngest engine?

The truck is up at Pierce for the frame rails with bad corrosion.

Anyone know the details on the ladder? Supposedly corrosion was a concern and it was being inspected. I didn’t recall seeing the ladder at the recent apartment fire in Justice (in photos, anyway).
Just speculating, but perhaps engine 31 is running out of 32’s house… that or 3R is running out of 32’s house. If ladder 31 is having issues, that leaves them running two engines with no backup (aside from mutual aid).

Are they using the 2000 Pierce as Engine 32 now?

What are they using as Engine 32? I know that the ladder has been OOS. Is there a new engine on order for them?
