The saber and enforcer are updated cabs but are not set on a HD frame rail 13″, compared to the 10″ frame rail that the saber and enforcer. Does not leave a lot of options for a traditional look. The rigs need to be HD will the amount of railroad crossings in town and the fact that all the apparatus serve past thier front line lifespan!

I do like the DASH CF but as you said, many don’t like the PUC. However, there is the SABER and ENFORCER for those that want a more modern cab but still like the traditional pumper design.

well I would guess why they have not gone with say the dash cf is because it is only available in puc form only and I know a lot of towns like them and a lot don’t for instance palm beach gardens fl had one and no one liked it it was 2 when it became a reserve Rosemont il has the puc and it is problematic so back to the original topic and that is I think that is why des plaines goes basic

Very sharp. PIERCE is shrewd in that they keep a chassis and cab design that’s been around forever for those want it and obviously there is still demand.
