I don’t see a front bumper hose well though. Are they planning on laying hose on top of bumper in a bundle?

any info of what engine companies will receive these new rigs

Chuck,
I believe the reason for the longer front bumper is they carry 150′ of hose on the front bumper. With hydrant spacing every 300′ or so, they can stretch off the front bumper to a hydrant if they are in the middle of the block.

Jim,
I think Chuck was referring to what appears to be a much longer than previously spec’ed out front bumper than what CFD normally uses.

Waiting to see how fast those front bumpers get destroyed.

It would be more helpful if they would of put shorter hosebeds and crosslays in. Apparently chicago still thinks all their firefighters and 7 feet tall and can grab the hose without using the backstep or sidestep.

How many engines is E-One building for CFD? Good to see them getting more new stuff!

Very Nice looking engines! They look really sharp! Glad to see they have the black tops! Any Idea when they will be delivered? I am sure they will be delivered sometime within the next month.

Those really look sharp. Amen on the black roofs. At least from those views, they really appear to have long front bumpers. Not a knock but it just looks long that’s all.
