Buffalo Grove police and firefighters were called to the scene of a two-car MVA on Weiland Road just north of Deerfield Parkway Wednesday at noon. Both drivers were injured. Damage to the driver’s side of the sedan hampered access to remove the patient and a pin-in response was requested. Two engines, two ambulances, and Battalion 4 were at the crash site in addition to several police officers. One patient was transported to Northwest Community Hospital and the other went to Condell Hospital.

While I don’t have the number of times that more then one Squad respond to an incident, I do know that on a Mayday a second Squad will automatically be dispatched and also believe that on a tunnel incident you will usually get a second Squad as Squad 2 responds with the Tunnel Rescue unit (526) on a tunnel involved incident ,which usually includes subway related fires.
As of the last several years the fire alarm office will at times dispatch a Squad to change quarters to Squad 1 which is either done when Squad 1 is committed to an incident for a while or if more then one of the Squads are
committed to incidents simultaneously though not necessarily to the same incident. Squad 2 seems to change quarters to Squad 1 a fair amount of times.

Just wondering, how often do two or more cfd squads attend a major accident together, I.E a structural collapse.
