This from Jeff Rudolph:
12/29/15
Spring Grove, IL – McHenry County FPD responded to a fire at 6316 Johnsburg rd. Due in part to the size of the structure and the lack of hydrants in the area, command upgraded to the Box and eventually up to the third alarm for tenders. The fire was quickly knocked down and kept from extending into the residence. Jeff Rudolph

How long has Fox Lake has this scheme? Tradition maybe?

Fox lake has had that scheme since around 1992. The scheme before that was a pale yellow and white. During the 50’s and 60’s they had some red apparatus.

All of the shots here are fantastic. I am not a fan of the Fox Lake paint scheme which is almost a throwback to when some of the fire departments were painting their apparatus yellow and lime green but it definitely does stand out even though the paint scheme looks out of place on a fire vehicle.
Great job Jeff!

its the same paint scheme as Clearwater Florida, but instead of being orange it’s yellow/green. They did buy a used engine from Gurnee and that is staying white over red.
