This from Andy Russell:
Peotone Squad 14 was hit while working an accident scene Saturday night on I-57. The squad sustained some significant damage to the officer’s side rear corner and will be out of service for several weeks while repairs are made. This is a great reminder for all to slow down and move out of the way of emergency and maintenance vehicles on the roadways and also for firefighters to protect their scenes.

They have 2 engines, truck, tanker, snorkel and the “squad”. They will be more than able to overcome the delay and repair

How will that delay, and the accident involving the squad, affect their apparatus fleet? What do they have in reserve?

The new Ferrara/US Tanker pumper tanker is still in production at US Tanker. Delivery was expected this month, but a busy production line has pushed delivery back until next year.
