Rich, they never needed a tower ladder in town. Blue Island to the south has a tower, Merrionette Park to the west has a 105′ RM, Posen also to the south has a 100′ RM, Robbins to the southwest has a tower, Harvey to the southeast has a tower, Dolton has a tower. Calumet Park runs with 3 on the engine and 2 on the ambo so the manpower is already limited. The fleet was aging and the tower was a lemon so the chief decided to use the equity from the tower and buy 2 engines, 1 being a quint that’s more suited for their needs and the size of their town.

Why would go from 2011 to a 2001?
