This from Kevin Griffin:
The Oak Forest Fire Department went to a full still Sunday night (5/10/15). Oak Forest truck 12 was the first on the scene with a fire in the rear of the house. I arrived after the fire was out and companies were doing overhaul. Companies on scene were Oak Forest Engine 11 and Truck 12, Chiefs 900 and 901, the Posen squad, a Crestwood engine, a Midlothian squad, a Flossmoor engine, an Orland truck, Hazel Crest truck, Matteson ambulance, and an Orland ambulance.

As of right now they aren’t purchasing anything new.

Hey Kevin, nice to see some ink about OF. What’s the new chief planning for the next purchase? Stick with the XT chassis or is he thinking outside the box. It’s also nice to hear a fire chief actually go on runs.

DH, Oak forest runs with at least 6 guys at 2 stations, usually it is 7. 4 at 11, 3 at 12, Station 12’s rigs are all jump co’s. They have been using the truck for most call except for auto aid. If 12 has an ambulance response, The driver of the engine/truck becomes the ambo driver and the guy in the back is the paramedic. the LT hops into the service vehicle and chases the ambulance.
Thank you

Kevin or any OFFD, how does Oak Forest run the truck? Is it a jump co out of station 12, or just the truck? Are the jump seat guys also the ambo guys? Thanks in advance, nice night photos also.
