Dennis McGuire, Jr. took in a Still & Box Alarm last night. He submitted several images and a brief description:
Fire was thru the roof when Engine 121 arrived, appears to be some sort of explosion. The upper part of the 2nd floor exterior wall was blown out in Sector 4, and glass covered Western Ave. The building is a 2 Sty Brick Restaurant. The place is called Franconello’s.
A suspected gas leak sparked an explosion that ripped through an Italian eatery in the West Beverly neighborhood on the city’s South Side, officials said this morning.
No injuries were reported in the blaze at Franconello Italian Restaurant, 10220 S. Western Ave. The blaze was called in about 11:57 p.m. Sunday and was struck out by fire crews within 20 minutes authorities said.

Jacob, these are the only photos I took. Engine 92 was the 2nd engine, this was Engine 121’s still. Change of Quarters are pretty much left up to OEMC as to who they want to send. Also this was a STILL & BOX, that’s why there were 3 trucks, and a Tower. The break down is Trk 40 1st trk, then Trk. 24 2nd trk. then Trk. 45 RIT, Tower 39 box truck.

Hey I was there too. Do you have any more photos of the fire? Isn’t it the first due engine’s (e92) job to tap a hydrant? Are there cfd still district maps available to the public? How does change of quarters work because I noticed e64 was covering e92 house and a spare was covering e120 house. I also think this went to a box alarm because I remember 3 trucks (40, 24, 45) being there, not including the tower.
