Took this fire in while in the area. Fire was at 322 N Fairfax Av in Romeoville; a 1-sty frame 25×35 on a slab. Two lines were led out off Eng 21 for fire attack. Still companies were Engs 21,22,23 Ambs 21,23 BN 21 & Chief 2101 with Lockport Eng & Northwest Homer Amb M/A on the General Alarm. Plainfield Amb & Lemont Eng were C/Q. Lockport Eng 3 had RIT while Northwest Homer Amb had Rehab. Lockport BN 1 was Safety. Occupants were able to safely evacuate prior to FD arrival.

The Cicero Fire Department has placed an order with Pierce for a Dash PUC engine that is expected in February. It will replace Engine 3, a 1999 Pierce Saber.

Cicero also has a relatively new command buggy in service as F12.

Metro Paramedic Services, part of Superior Ambulance, who provides EMS for Cicero has placed a new ambulance at the headquarters station. It was built by Demers Ambulances (a Canadian builder) in 2012 on a 2011 Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis. The new F10 is expected to be placed in service shortly.

Took a little ride over the border to Gary . Got a shot of one of their new engines. This is Engine 13, a 2012 Sutphen pumper. They have two other new Sutphen engines at Engine 7 and 11. They also have two new ladders which are HME. I attached a small shot of the cab door of New Truck 2.
