This from Eric Haak:

Some time before 0600 hrs on Thursday, December 19th, the Central Stickney Fire Protection District was dispatched to a house fire on the southwest corner of Lockwood Avenue and 49th Street.  Companies arrived to find fire in a vacant 2.5 story ordinary.  This was the second fire in this residence and the garage was burned down a year or so ago.  I took this in on my way to work and when I got there, operations were strictly exterior.  Fire had burned through the roof and most of it had collapsed into the attic space.  Since I did not hear this dispatched, I am not sure why Central Stickney’s Truck 906 was not on scene.  For those not familiar with Central Stickney, the fire building was four blocks from their station.  Central Stickney Engine 905 (hydrant on the corner of 49th and Lockwood), Bedford Park Engine 710 (hydrant on the corner of 49th and Lorel), Stickney FD Truck 1204 (aerial raised off 49th Street) and Summit Engine 951 (not pumping but manpower working) were all on scene.
