Excerpts from the Journal-Topics.com:
The Rolling Meadows City Council agreed to sell a 2016 Ford rescue squad valued at $120,000 and a 1994 International/Hackney Hazmat squad valued at $10,000. Both vehicles will be replaced by a new squad that can handle hazmat, technical rescue, swift water, and investigations.
The reduction will also allow space in the firehouse for a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System squad that the city will be able to use. That vehicle has an air compressor and bottle storage needed for fires and specialty incidents, features the city currently does not have. Rolling Meadows will get use of the vehicle in exchange for routine maintenance on it.

On the Maqueen website Hoffman Estates is ordering two new Pierce PUC engines. I am guessing one will go to Engine 21 and the other to engine 23 since those are the last two engines that need to be replaced. I guess they had a bad experience with Ferrara.

They placed an order with Pierce on Enforcer chassis with no pump or tank so this will be strictly a squad. You can view the spec on Maqueen facebook page.
Also you can view Arlington Hts Pierce Engine and Elgin quint and few others.

Good for them. I believe they are currently running the reserve BC as Squad 15. I believe they are still trying to save wear and tear on the 2019 Truck. Any idea who will build the new squad? Sounds like it is going to be a decent sized vehicle. I Know 15 has a reserve LaFrance and Ambulance, 16 has a reserve engine. I wonder which station will get the air unit? If 15 gets the squad, will they have to move the other LaFrance to 16?
