This from Steve Redick:
Had an amazing opportunity recently. I was able to get a shot of the entire 1st battalion assembled at the end of navy pier. This was an apparatus maneuvering and spotting drill and resulted in what I feel is a once in a lifetime shot. All of the members assigned to the units are in the image as well. The full size image has just enough resolution to be able to identify most of the people in the photo. Both boats positioned very well in the background as well as a bit of skyline round it all out.

Actually, Truck 1’s rig is from 2014 and was originally assigned to Truck 47. While at Truck 47, on November 5, 2016, while responding to a call, They were hit head on by a wrong way driver and the cab was severely damaged. A new cab was installed and returned back into service in March of 2019. Then, in late 2020, Truck 47 got a new rig from E-One and the Spartan was reassigned to Truck 1 replacing the 2006 Pierce Dash 105′ Rearmount at Aerial Tower 1 and became Truck 1 since there is Aerial Tower 8.

Cool pictures Steve! Great to see 3 generations of CFD aerials in the shot. The 2002 Pierce, the 2010 or 2011 Crimson and the 2020 E-One!
