That’s great news! I can’t wait for Truck 47 to have a new cab. Besides whatever happened with Engine 68 and when will they have it back in service?

What happened with Engine 68’s frontline? Was it a cracked frame?

Hopefully that is the plan to have these replace the two oldest tower ladders in the fleet, which would be 5 and 21. What happened to 21, did it just fall apart?

Aidan Hughes I’m not quite sure the amount of damage T47 had. But this sounds familiar to engine 68 where back in late 2016 It first had a spare and still has a spare to this day. Engine 68 had 4 different spares assigned in that time and it’s currently using a 1994 Luverne I believe. I always wonder about any plans for it or what ever happened to their 2005 Spartan.

21’s HME is out of service, but I do agree they need a new one regardless of the status of the HME.

I still can’t wait for the new tower ladders to arrive. I hope they go to Towers 5 and 21 because they have aging rigs. Tower 21’s HME is very abused. Tower 5 has a 2000 ALF that is the only one like it. Remember the time when Tower 34 had a 2002 Pierce Dash 100’ RM with shop number E328? Unfortunately in 2010 i believe It crashed into a viaduct and the rig was totaled. Will Truck 47 get their Spartan Truck back since it was damaged in a crash in November 2016? Was it totaled?
