This from Danny Nelms:
In addition to the pictures that have already been posted online of Ambulance 36 and Ambulance 20. At the manufacturer built on a Dodge chassis these pulled into the truck stop when I was getting gas tonight on my way home
A feature I noticed that I haven’t seen on previous ambulances was the red and neon green checkerboarding stripe down the bottom of the boxAMB 6 FDC-261AMB 12 FDC-259

RAM has come a long way as a company and has proven itself as a solid work truck. Many of the problems people affiliate with dodge trucks was true in older generations of the rams. Any problem that the Fords will have will usually be the same across the board with all makes nowadays. Plus, its a CFD Ambulance… its gonna get some usage and miles.

The private company here in Kalamazoo has started redoing their fleet wit the Ford Transit chassis with low roof. There is absolutely no room for the attending medic to sit on the bench seat to treat your patients unless you are under 5ft 2 in. So yes it does get MUCH worse.

I’ll try not to say this too loud as not to give CFD or any other dept. ideas but there is a RAM(or DODGE as some prefer) PROMASTER ambulance version.
So if you want to blast the FORD E SERIES, it can get worse.

Chicago doesn’t do 550’s. They did a few 450’s from Braun in 2008-10 and then went back to the 350 for the four remounts they did in 13′ and 14′. The Ram’s are 3500 as well.

Dodge’s are junk, they’re going to have more problems that with the E-Series. Should have gone with F-550’s
