“mm” You are entitled to your opinion what ever it may be. I’m not sure why you feel it necessary to speak to me in the manner your have, but it doesn’t bother me in the least. I have been in the fire service for over 20 years and I do take great pride in what we in this profession do. The little things do matter to many fireman in the city and suburbs. Tradition in this line of work is at times the most important thing we have. Tradition in Training, Tradition in Pride, it keeps what we do on the correct path when administrators and municipalities try to create changes. This is not a corporation We don’t go to work in a board room, and I for one need to know that whoever I’m going to be working with is not only on the same page as I am but is writing the same words as I am at the same time as I am. so you see the little things like lights and paint color go a long way whether you believe it or not. I’m interested to see what YOU as a real firefighter care about? I as a real firefighter care about every single aspect of our profession.

This comment is directed to “mm” who posted a derogatory comment on March 24, 2016. You sir are a coward. If you want to make ignorant comments you are welcome to do so, but please be man enough to use your real name. This site is for people of all walks of life who enjoy talking about fire apparatus and the fire service and we are hurting no one. You are entitled to your opinion but you are obviously not proud of what you said as you choose to hide behind a fake name. It is my hope that someday you will move past the need to hurt others in an effort to make yourself feel better. Have a great day.

If you don’t care, why bring it up and get personal about it?

Rich S.
I’m loving your comment about morale. Please, please show me one CFD firefighter who is actually upset about the lighting “issue.” Sorry these changes are causing all you cute little overweight, fire-(edited by admin) such anxiety. Little dose of reality…normal people and real firefighters don’t care.
