This from Eric Haak:
Here are a few images from the CTA train derailment on August 5. The call came in from CTA who gave an approximate location of 61st and Calumet. The actual incident occurred just about directly over 63rd Street. It was a minor derailment and there were no injuries. Passengers were escorted only about 100 feet to a stairway that led from the tracks to the ground below. F634 was brought out from Midway by Engine 127 but was not needed.

There is a $20,000 Reward for info that leads to the apprehension and conviction of anyone that shoots at a CPD Officer. The CPD Memorial foundation handles this after I brought this idea from the NYPD who have been doing it for about 30 years. And it works.

Blue lights look great I think the red and blue is much more effective than red and green

spoung45 – 634’s stairway is extendable, according to the this webpage in the rig pictures, it is the Stinar 19′ model.

Hopefully when the new E-One tower ladders get here the open cab reserve towers will go away, or at least be a very last resort
