  for everyone’s info…roughly ,,,the old bttn 23 became bttn 13,,also parts of the old 18th & 15th.
  the old 28th bttn became bttn14 also parts of the 15th’
  the east part of old bttn 18 is in bttn 12 now.
  old bttn 6 & 7 became bttn 4

  the west side has always been (for decades) along with the south side, very busy. fires, pin in accidents, trauma, ems of all kinds,,,, general mayhem abounds! few members transfer out of these bttns. they get promoted, and often return, or they retire out !

  Too bad they did have these patches and slogans when when the West Side was really burning in the 1960’s and the Battalions there were Battalions 15,18,28 and 23 which were part of the old 2nd Division and Battalions 6 and 7 were on the near West Side which were part of the old 1st Division.
