Excerpts from Arlington Heights Firefighters L-3105
On behalf of Arlington Heights Firefighters Local 3105, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Arlington Heights Village Board, village leadership, and the residents for approving the addition of a 5th ambulance at Monday’s village board meeting. This strategic investment underscores the village’s unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. The deployment of Ambulance 5 will enable our members to provide timely and life-saving care to the residents and visitors of Arlington Heights, and is a direct response to the continually rising calls for service, a project that has been multiple years in the making, informed by a comprehensive analysis of call volume and vehicle availability.

Michael the local’s Facebook page said that ambulance 5 is going to run out of station 2. So station 2 will have engine, squad and ambulance 2 and ambulance 5. I can’t remember if the BC runs out of there or station 1 now.

Perhaps they should show Elgin how its done. Elgin is struggling with getting the sixth ambulance put in active service. Ambulance 2 has been in a spare for 9 months.

Arlington has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to staffing and operations. This didn’t happen overnight. This has been decades of labor / management / and the village all working together to accomplish the goal. It’s sad and unfortunate that many other departments can’t emulate half of what Arlington has done.
