Thank you for all the information Josh! I haven’t seen anything on ambulances. Does Indy have any newer ones? And are they still on the Eseries chassis? Thanks

IFD has a current 10 year contract with Pierce. IFD runs two low profile Ladders (15 & 27) which have to be less than 10’2” to fit under very old train track bridges. Pierce could not meet the height requirement, therefore having to look at other options. Sutphen, KME, and Rosenbauer were able to meet the height requirement, but after forming a committee, they chose to go with Rosenbauer just for these two units.
We have taken delivery of 12 Enforcer Engines, 2 Enforcer RM Ladders, 3 Enforcer HD RM Tower Ladders, and 2 Enforcer MM Ascendants. The 20th piece from that order will be an Enforcer Tiller which should be completed next fall. The current spec that was designed with multiple committees, seem to be working out well for the membership.
IFD already has another large order in with Pierce. That consists of 5 more Engines, 2 more RM Ladders, 1 RM Tower Ladder, 1 Tanker, and 1 Heavy Rescue. Those should start trickling into the city in 2026.
IFD also has a very aggressive Apparatus & Station replacement plan. Over the next 10 years, based off the plan, IFD will take delivery of up to 40 Engines, 15-20 Ladders, and 5 new Fire Stations.

Interesting they went with someone other than Pierce. I do know they signed a 4 year contract with Pierce and Maqueen for 20 rigs, including 12 engines and a tiller.
I know some of those rigs have already been delivered. I believe some of the engines and the two mid mount towers have been delivered.
Maybe they are sick of Pierce?
