3M the leaders in stick-on reflective products makes a reflective deep charcoal grey. That sounds kinda weird, but its Engineering grade wide tape that reflects quite well in dusk to complete darkness. It catches and reflects headlight beams etc. very well. I agree that unreflective black is not visibility worthy at night. It might be worth an experimental try-out.
